Sanguma Band Interview 1977.mov

This program was recorded from a National Broadcasting Corporation of Papua New Guinea Radio Program "University on Air" on Friday 18th November 1977 while I was working in Port Moresby. I heard the program start and missed the first few minutes while I set up my cassette deck to record the program. As a result of hearing this program, I went to the Sanguma Band member's final UPNG graduation concert the next Friday 25th November 1977 and recorded it with the group's permission. Upon hearing the news that one of the founding members, Tony Subam, had passed away on Christmas Day 2011, I digitised my recording and added some images of the band from a New Nation article in 1977, as a tribute to and remembrance of Tony Subam.
