Chows are the cutest little balls of fluff. DoyDoy is gorgeous. When the "experts" advised us to cage train our pup, we didn't. It's cruel. You don't ignore children when they cry so don't do that to these babies!

My shih-tzu loved his kennel. When he was just a pup he whined until he realized that this was his home. Every night we'd pack up his toys and put them into his kennel and eventually he got the concept of the kennel. Its not a cage to them, the reason they cry is because they're social and want to be with there pack. Now that my shih-tzu is all grownup we have taken the door off and he still sleeps there when we go to bed.

Yes Chow's are very smart dogs, my Chow (COCO) at the time we lived in a duplix, so I would walk her across the street to the park and all my neighbors knew her, and she was a baby.. I would let her out and watch her cross the street to the park and us the pottie and come back home.. No cage training needed.. Even when she got grown she did it all on her own, and never messed in my yard, she went into the forest, did her business and came right home.. LOVE HER!!
