@grape512 They were intending to have Norrington in only the first movie, but partly due to a positive audience reaction towards the character and the producer's respect for Davenport gave him a major part in the Sequel.

@Ken00729 You could not be more correct. At World's End was a mess. I first went to see Curse of the Black Pearl because of Depp, but Davenport stole the show.

They ruined Norrington in At World's End should have been a main character not some four scene useless character.
