I love this riff (and the song, too) to death and thought... why not comparing it played on 4 of my beloved guitars... a Les Paul R9, an ES-335, a Noiseless pick-up Clapton Strat (Custom Shop) and a Lace-Sensor pick-up Clapton Strat...
The general setting is:
The crunch came from a Toadworks "Death Rattle" pedal in the "tweed"-mode, gain almost to 0 and a Hughes & Kettner "Rotosphere" Mark 1 pedal... plus some reverb from a EH "Holy Grail... all played through a Marshall "Bluesbreaker" Combo...

  • all sound great, different that's all.

  • @yamitanomura : Thanks... yes that was my attention to show... :-)

  • I hope the guitar tone is a result of your camera/mic. with all that gear, the tone should be amazing

  • @lighteningboy : it is... ...the cheap mic of the photo-cam of course can not cope with the full bandwidth of the real tone... Cheers, PIT... :-)

  • @pitsxroad Your guitars are sick man...love the Strat

  • @lighteningboy : ...so do I... :-)

  • @Bertokia Agree! The Neo Ventilator has the best Leslie Rotating speaker sound out there in a pedal.

  • Please re-investigate the riff, & buy a Neo Ventilator!

  • sounds more like a rush song

  • It might be an idea to actually learn the riff

  • I think the Stratocaster with lace sensor pups sounds best.

  • The solo at least, has to be an LP.
