Why more property tax increases? 10-11%+ increases to provide for city infrastructure & new housing development plans? Our city is not that old and we already pay out our nose! You would think that because our property taxes cost much more per tiny parcel of land than other developed cities, that we should be covered. Look @ cities where housing development is 1-2 acres per lot, how come they aren't suffering, even with much lower taxes? I'm tired of not understanding where our money goes.

Mayor McCallion's annual arts gala sucked up 80% of the revenues between
1997 and 2007, with less than a third of the remaining 20% going directly to the
arts goups, the city treasurer says.
'Expert Questions Chatitable Reciepts'
The gala sat on a large part of the proceeds for years,finally turning
$2.34 million over in 2006 to the Mississauga Community Foundation

Hazel says that aging parents should not be permitted to live independently in the homes of their adult children, in something as simple as a basement apartment or Granny suite. She's an old girl who doesn't care about others her age. Hazel and her councillors are guilty of Elder Abuse.
