When asked about the jobs that might be lost in Ohio due to a deal that Davis lobbied for, Davis tries to change the subject to an Obama radio ad, and even Chris Wallace has to turn him back to the topic of the jobs leaving Ohio. TPM Muckraker has more on Davis' lobbying work.

  • He depends entirely on gaining trust through established methods of manipulation. Anyone capable of seeing his tactics will call him a snake.

  • McCain, in that town hall he spoke about, told those people that it was time for some "straight talk" that he couldn't stop the deal, and as a matter of fact he was sure it was going through.

Gee, what a surprise, John Stanley McStupid strikes again.

  • That's easy to say when it's not your job on the line. How much less would you work for? Why is it that executive pay is never cut? Nine times out of ten, bad, short-sighted management is to blame for failing businesses, not workers' salaries. Yet these joker execs get huge golden parachutes worth tens of millions of dollars.

  • Free market at work. Maybe if the Ohio workers would work for less pay they would be keeping their jobs. Businesses aren't the only things that have to stay competitive, employees do as well.

  • Rick Davis gets $600,000 for his successful efforts lobbying Senator McCain on behalf of DHL. That works out to $75 per head on the 8,000 Ohio workers who will be losing their jobs. Now that's change the Repugs can believe in!

  • This guy is a total dick.

  • He got $600,000 from DHL. I guess that 600k did the trick. Too bad about the thousands of unemployed though.
