Thanks Tantrum777. Well, as I said, they may add simply because it is not as dark as they would like or for uniformity. Distilleries want all of their whiskies to look alike.
good info sku, Ralfy is leading the charge on this and I do agree with him! its interesting on blends they age for as long as the single malts in the bottle like johnny walker 12, the single malts and the scottish grain are all over 12 years so why do they need any additional color?
A light color wont turn me off but if you call it urinish color that might turn me off! haha
And I guess that's why I don't work in whiskey marketing...Try our new whiskey...it looks like urine!
