This live performance proves, once again, the magnificent musicianship and mastery of Grigori Sokolov. The music goes to the very core of human emotions, and Sokolov uses his brilliant technique, part of which, of course is the ability to create a superb color palette, for the sole purpose of conveying the exact intentions of the composer.

GOD this is the most beautiful performance of this movement I've ever heard! I never thought there'd be another Richter but this guy blows that theory right out of the water! The greatest pianist since Richter imo!
