@iloveMargaux08 dude, it's just a kitchen demonstration.. He's not really cooking in the kitchen for somebody. Jeez, THINK MORE, TALK LESS..

why does everyone freak out about the watch? He's just showing how to cut stuff.

I DONT THINK YOU ARE A GOOD CHEF. you should remove your ring and watch before holding anything in the kitchen. you better go back to your culinary school and ask your teacher about HYGIENE AND SANITATION.
-
the secret is not to cut your fingers...

The chef picked up a standard KitchenAid, $10.00 chef knife and said it was his preferred tool. Good example of how the knife doesn't have to be the best quality to meet the best needs of the chef/ It's all personal preference, guys...

Don't get a "Set" of knives. Try and experience other people's knives and see what you like best. Doesn't have to be "the best" - My "Set" is comprised of about seven brands. I like Wusthof chef knives, but use a global paring knife and just about every other knife is a different brand - I use what works for me. There is no "Best Knife" - It's what works for you. Shun, Global, Wusthof, Gunter Wilhelm, ect - They are quality knives. Go for quality, and the brand will just happen. : )
