  • Good job....that is pretty risky having liquor being sold right next to where children frequent should be a safe place. That certainly is not allowing for healthy choices...children learn what they live. I'm with you....

  • I am not from Lower Brule but I live here and I am raising my family here. I generally keep to myself and mind my own business but when I heard about this and saw this video I just had to say something. WAY TO GO! You spoke out and apparently your voice was heard because there is no booze. I am a drinker myself but I agree that school grounds is no place for that.

  • The final outcome was the store was not allowed to sell liquor anymore, which is good because when I went to buy groceries there was some scary drunk people there, it really turned me off. I didn't want my kids seeing that.

  • kids arent old enought to buy liquor so they should actually sell to people who are more responsible

  • Good job standing up forwhat you believe in and what is right ! I was just telling my friend how i just realized that alcohol is killing a whole entire culture that is so full of wisdom ans so litle is known about the lakota.

  • the previous comment was from a sibling . Alcohol is not a tradition with any people. i for one am tired of burying my family and friends due to alcohol-related deaths. i am aware of other people on another rez willing to do something about the alcohol usage, stepping up to let our future know that alcohol isn't okay anymore. It's about time someone had the courage to speak up and out about this. Courage and prayers for you who choose to stand up and speak out.

  • where was the whole community? should have all been there. glad u guys were. takes courage to make a stand and then keep walking knowing the possible consequences of this to u n your families.

  • way to go lakotas, where was the so called AA program? they should have been on the line. us Lakotas need to stick together and not be afraid.we won one anyway

  • damnnnn what kinda place is that???????????

  • A victory with many more to come!
