This is a special video. It is the first video we did in the new studio using the new gear. It is also the first crack at using multiple cameras. I shared this on my Facebook page, so some of the comments were copied and pasted from there. This is NOT my original work. It is merely me playing a cover song.

  • Nathaniel I think you locked down& caught the vibe and Naiiled it you played exactly what was needed for the track after all that is the main job of the DRUMS TO OFFER A CONTEXT FOR THE BAND ADD THRUNGS TO ALLOW THE BAND TO CLIB THE SONG

  • @kynancecove

It's all about the vibe! We are doing subdivisions by Rush this week. Should be posted sometime next week. Please stay tuned!

Hello! Thank you for your comments! The snare is a Gretsch Gloss Maple Snare. I have Remo Coated Controlled Sound on the batter and medium side hazy underneath. I also have puresound blasters as snare wires...but I removed the outer 3 snares on each side. This DRASTICALLY cuts down snare buzz on the toms. Thank you again for your kind words! I appreciate it!!

HI Jon! Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it. That was the approach I was going for. For me, I think the tom mics should have been closer to the heads. That way there would have been a bit more tone from them. We are doing Subdivisions by Rush this week, so look for it to be posted sometime next week.

  • Groovin', solid, just the right amount of flair and chops in the right places---this is the key to being a great team player.

  • Wow brother! Fantastic work! That is a beautiful snare bite! May i ask what snare that is? Your cover is dead on! Good job
