Mamod TE1A Traction Engine

Here is my Mamod TE1A Traction Engine, built in the year 2000 and run very little since so it is in very good condition.

This was really a test run for the new metholated spirits burner I have bought for it. I have allways found these engines performance to be inadequate when using the solid fuel, the liquid fuels seems to give a much better head of steam.

Hope you like the music, it's a fair ground organ from the Great Dorset Steam Fair so I thought it was appropriate.

what fuel do you recommend for this, as i used mine today and is now run-in but have no fuel

i had the solid white compound but what works better please

Well I used to use the solid fuel (metholtated spirit blocks) as suplied by mamod, but it's ruddy expensive. I bought a repro meths (liquid) burner from forrest classics for about £15. Quite expensive for what it is, but then a bottle of fuel is about two quid, so money well spent.

@enginelover1 u wanna buy them search mamod or wilesco in google there on there or go to steam fairs they price to 90 to 600 quid so not cheap
