100% guaranteed this is NOT Van Halen in any form. Its is Xciter with George Lynch, Mick Brown on drums and Greg Sanford on vocals.

How the HELL could anyone think this was the mighty Van Halen?!?! If the vocals didn't give it away then surely the shit guitar playing would have!! Jesus christ dude. Get yourself together man! LAWLZ!

We Love George Lynch-I have one of his instructional video*s w/Mr Scrary- * And the Lead to *IN MY DREAMS* It may have been STARLICKS or GUITAR METHOD VIDEO*S-What a great guitarist-[he introduced two of his guitar instructors at the end-what a shock-but everyone learns from someone-[Every man is my master in that I can learn something from them]

wtf you all know about a good guitar player? George Lynch is bad ass!
He's not Eddie but he's no slouch by a long shot. You write mr. scary and then get back to me. Dokken was a cool band.

Awesome song!!

It's easy to change the title of this, so as not to confuse people.
-
Definitely hear the VH influence but that's not VH!!!

As others have remarked, I bought an audio tape of this back around 1982-1983. It was combined with some genuine VH songs from a Starwood 1977 performance, but this song was labeled as 1975-6 Mammoth featuring Edward on vocals. I had my doubts, so it's nice to have closure from others now.

@vhfanjack Go to amazon...its on one of George's official releases of his old bands/rarities. Xciter. Sounds just like pre '77 VH doesnt it though?! its uncanny and easy to see why anyone would confuse it.

In case you're curious, George released a CD with about 12 Xciter songs through his website last year. Black Star's on it in great quality, a few live tracks, and a couple of tracks with a short lived girl singer. Cool stuff!

I read this on Metal Sludge or in 'The Inside' VH fan magazine interview with George Lynch who confirmed this. Just do a google search for George Lynch and Xciter and it'll pull up a bunch of hits with info on this song and a bunch of others recorded in the same studio sessions.
