Softball Strikeout Record Breaker 2007

Monica Abbott strikes out Charlotte Morgan to record her NCAA record-breaking 2,266th strikeout in the 1st inning of a 9-2 victory in the first game of a two game sweep against Alabama on May 6, 2007 at Tyson Park in Knoxville, TN. The University of Tennessee Lady Vols won the 2nd game in the double header 4-0, clinching the 2007 SEC regular season championship.

monica is amazing. her form is unique and even though she struck out charlotte morgan, charlotte is great too. and angela tincher is amazing too. in this past season, she came one strike out away from tieing the all time most amount of strike outs in a single game!

Well this whole Cat Abbott dilemma is very controversial because Yes Abbott does hold the NCAA pitching record but keep in consideration Abbott pitch way more innings than Osterman. Abbott does have immense speed but if you notice once the batter reads her they can get a homerun off of her. On the other hand Osterman has amazing control of her ball. It dances on the plate making it more difficult to hit considering that movement.

I'll have to say that Cat is awesome (DUH) But so is Monica. They're both great. And before you Dog either one of them why don't you just try letting them pitch to you? They both have a God-Given talent, and they're using it. Monica has her strengths and so does Cat. Monica has speed and Cat has variety and control.
