@OW41N Semper fi is the shortened version of semper fidelis, which is Latin for "always faithful." It is the Marine Core motto, and it has graced many coats of arms throughout history. Americans don't say it unless they are Marines or they are acknowledging what the Marines have done for us and our Constitution. It's kinda like the SAS's "who dares, wins," but it has more meaning. American's don't swear an oath to a government or a president, they affirm their pledge to uphold a Constitution.
