Rory Storm & the Hurricanes was one of the first and most popular groups in the Liverpool club circuit. Question: Is that RINGO STARR playing the drums???

  • There are no surviving videos (or audio tapes) of the Hurricanes with Ringo. Too bad. It would be a treasure.

  • KEEF HARTLEY, the actual drummer in this footage, passed away last week. Please try to show him some respect

  • @WisMiss101 we dont really know maybe some people got but think they wont post it

  • it is Ringo Starr...

  • I love the way they move!!! O_O its awesome

  • The right hand technique on the hi hat doesn't really identify this drummer as Ringo (and neither does the kit - Ringo wasn't the only one to use a Premier kit). What does is the LEFT hand (snare drum) technique, which, if you look closely, is ORTHODOX grip with this drummer. Ringo was never known to have used this grip, but was always seen to use MATCHED grip!!

  • @FlipAl68

    R.I.P Keef Hartley.

  • i named my guitar after them

  • This is for a FACT Ringo Starr in this Clip of Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. The band footage is from a earlier performance and the interviews were done at a later time. From 15 seconds to 18 you see Ringo. He uses a unique right hand technique on his high hat and he is using his Premier drum kit which he also used on the Please Please Me record before he went to Ludwig.

  • How could that possibly be Ringo if they are talking about the Beatles and how they are now famous during the clip? Come on people.

  • Not Ringo. Ringo had a beard when he was with The Hurricanes. This footage is better quality than the Beatles footage filmed in 1962.
