This 2002 documentary chronicles the life of Martin Luther, from his childhood, to his days as an ascetic Catholic monk, to his stance as the voice of reform from within (and, finally, from without) the Catholic Church.

  • 7:20 hahah from now on baby its down to you!

  • @sixerjones This program reinforced my disallusionment with my Catholicism and Christianity as a whole. But it is interesting to study and learn about. Love God, respect Jesus, and love and forgive all - that's all we need. Hats off to Luther for waking me up to reality.

  • Thank you very much for this vid.. I fell asleep on it real late one night! I hope all catholics watch this...

  • I like how the director associates wood chopping with the attack on the sacrament system

  • I'm not christian, or religious (although I am sometimes spiritual depending on my mood) but one issue I have with Luther and Deuteronomy and any other philosophy that emphasizes the "individual" is that there IS NO "INDIVIDUAL". The word itself means "not dividable" but every "individual" is actually made up of many smaller bits of life (cells) and every cell is made up of molecules. The "individual" is an illusion.

  • "The pope should stand up like the stinking sinner he is."~ Luther. LOL That is funny! I love this guy and how bold he speaks!

  • fuck the pope but use condom

  • at 7:34 All of the faithful are Gods priests , amen !

  • @Hunte9753 Can I ask you why you think it "sucks"? Other than what you've taken as fact from this video. While this era was problematic in the Catholic church it doesn't mean it was always this way and it doesn't mean it's that way now.

If you've done a considerable amount of research I'd like to see it.
