Rattle snake!

This was March 2, 2008 in South Texas. I had JUST got off my hands and knees tracking the 3rd hog in that brush and found her waiting. Glad I didn't find her while I was in the brush! 18 buttons and broke off.

Don't ever think I've seen a rattlesnake in Texas. I've been to Big Bend State Park, Sam Houston National Forest, near Pedernales Falls, some places near Kileen but I am happy I haven't seen one yet. I have though seen several of cottonmouths here.

@EinSpear If you want to see rattlers, head south of San Antonio. You'll be able and find plenty. All locals wear snake boots for a reason.

@SwimbaitNewEngland Well, then you grew up in a different Kenedy Texas since it's not located in west Texas. It is located in south Texas, and I see and film horned toads often there. Also film rattlers quite often. Can show you photos of the womans body and what happened to it that was hit by a rattler on this property. Its not pretty, quite painful and very costly hospital bills. Maybe you should go argue with your mama since you are so smart. After you take a geography class.

You go gurl, shoot that son-of-a-bitch again. My dad shot a black rattler one time that had 16 rattles and a button, that thing looked evil. My mom came running down the steps one time and said "there's a snake out in the yard", she was as white as ghost. I could hear that thing buzzing 30 yards away. I prefer a shotgun for dealing with rattlers, usually about 3 or 4 blasts.
