  • I found out there was a "silent update" a while back where it actually unofficially changed our machines max to 8 gigs thank god! I ordered some from OWC for 53 bucks. Google 8 gigs late 2008 owc, it will be the first article. Thumb this up so other people can know

  • @grope4luna The late 2008 Macbook was not yet dubbed the "Pro" in the 13" model. You can also clearly see this point illustrated at 37seconds where the "Macbook" badging is visible, note that the "Pro" addition is absent.

  • @stixs887 actually you can. Apple released a new version of the EFI for these older MacBooks in 09. I am running mine with 8gb as we speak.

  • I have the latest 2011 macbook pro running the lowest specs with only 4 gigs of ram. Would upgrading to 6 or 8 improve it a lot? or just a little bit?

  • i want to put two 4 gb modules of ram into the late macbook for a total of 8gb DDR3... Will that work fine for this modle? it is the 2.0 ghz...
