Following the devastating earthquake in Japan in March, we helped reunite thousands of beloved pets with their families. In September, we rescued more than 500 dogs from misery and neglect in a large-scale dog breeding operation in Canada. Check out these and other successes for animals in 2011, and consider donating to support our work to help celebrate animals and confront cruelty worldwide:

  • Amazing! Thank you for everything you guys do..

  • @PlushGlamour Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Japan disaster, you arrive and care for animals, starvation is a HUGE problem around the world, and an "achievement" for you is ensuring chickens are no longer starved, end animal testing (which, mind you, is responsible for about 80% of current medical knowledge applicable to human beings- saving human lives). I see rather large problems with this philosophy.

  • @lacrosseguy556 Thanks for your comment. We're an animal protection organization. As an example, in disasters, people's situations are worsened by worrying about their animals, whether they're working animals or companions. People express incredible thanks for help with their animals, which many charities that focus on people don't provide. People feel helped when their animals are helped.
