@simpleutahboi I did NOT know that about Mormon theology. Is that really what they teach? That's incredible.

He is just stating very very very basic logic and facts.

This guy is a christian ?

What bible does this guy read..?
What book is he proposing so that we might buy it..?
He does not seem to agree with any revelation within the Bible..?
Is he starting a new religion..?
Why is he trying to reinvent the God of the bible..?
How did this guy graduate from a seminary..?
anyone would assign an "F" to this his understanding of the Bible this guy is about unity without having unity with any christians because he wants to take Christ's name just without him
may he be anathema

Very interesting regarding the lack of a geographical (or astronomical) location for a supernatural being we call God. I was raised in Mormon theology which teaches that God is a being of flesh and bones and actually lives on a planet called Kolob. Spong discounts any possibility of that doctrine in less than 10 minutes.

I came to have great respect for this man; even those who disagree with him have to acknowledge his honesty.
