I wrote this piece for my son Andreas when he was born back in 1988. He was born prematurely, and had to live in an infant incubator the first weeks of his life (see the small video clip in the beginning), so that's where the title came from..
I have played this in many different versions with different bands etc., but this is my 2008 home studio version.
I'm using my good old Carvin DC135C and my Engl Screamer 50 tube amp, and I recorded it direct through a Palmer "The Junction" guitar DI box. Effects pedals used; Exar CP-04 compressor, Boss FV-50L volume pedal, t.c. electronic SCF Chorus, Boss DD-6 digital delay, Boss RV-5 digital reverb and a Danelectro "Tuna Melt" Tremolo.
Acoustic guitar: Ibanez AE350S acoustic-electric, bass: Ibanez Fretless Jazz Bass copy from the 70's. Drums and percussion programmed and "played" by EZ drummer and Roland Sound Canvas. Recorded and mixed in Cubase.

what is great about this piece is dynamics and how you are telling a story and us as the listener are imagining what you were doing at that time in your life. For me it was feelings of cruising down the highway on a rainy night to the hospital to see if your son's alright, and the feeling of waiting and concern like is he going to be alright?,and then you find out that he's gonna make it and you assure him that he's ok and let him know how happy you are to have him in your life.
