The Red Sea! By miles! ...But then Sri Lanka is way more worth a visit as a country and a people - the most unique on the subcontinent....

No, but why wouldn't you dive (unless you're medically unfit)?

Snorkelling is too much effort, in some ways more dangerous (I can explain this as I'm qualified to certify the PADI skin diver qualification), and ultimately 'fleeting glimpses' provide only a snapshot. The real value and benefit of diving is being able to watch interactions between underwater life over many minutes... =)

it is very economical to dive in Sri Lanka than here in Australia & it is awesome

the Great Barrier Reef (the outer reefs only reached by liveaboard and rarely dived) are the most ridiculously awesome I have ever seen anywhere in more than 250 dives overseas!

Thanks I went to the Red Sea divied and everything so much fish corals and everything else .The waves are preety big in the mornings, which was preety bad.Meaby next year i will go to Sri Lanka.:}
