Prophet Muhammad (SAAW) said to Umar, "O Ibn al Khattab! By Him in whose hands my life is! Never does Satan find you going on a way, but he a takes another way other than yours." (Sahih Bukhari-Arabic-English Vol 5, p.24, No.32)

The Prophet Muhmmad(SAAW)said,"Among the nation of Bani Israel who lived before you, there were men who used to be inspired with guidence though they were not Prophets and if there is any such persons amongst my followers, it is Umar." (Sahih Bukhari-Arabic-English Vol 5. P.27 No.38)
