This animation was created using Autodesk Inventor software and shows the installation process for the unitized curtain wall I designed at the company where I work. Curtain wall is the glass, aluminum, metal panel, and sometimes, stone facade used on medium and high rise buildings. Unitized curtain wall is a curtain wall that is engineered, manufactured, assembled, and glazed at a factory, and shipped to the project site for field installation. As shown in the video, the curtain wall is installed one panel at a time to the structure. Each panel varies in size, but are typically around 5'-0" wide and 11'-0" to 14'-0" in height.
