TURN UP THE VOLUME - it's a cellphone recording.

This piano lies discarded in the orchestra pit of a theatre closed for 40 years. The legs have long ago rotted out from beneath it, so that it lies on the ground, covered in 1/8th inch of dust. I was startled to discover that some of the broken keys still play. I love it.

  • Arguably the coolest YouTube video I've seen. That piano has so much character. I really like the tritone in the melody at the end. So great. Thanks for the link from Flickr.

  • Reminds me of the effects Rich Wright uses on some old Pink Floyd records.

  • I love a ghost movie a piano plays the ghost part in!
