I pretty much did the fight as intended. With a lot of quick thinking and reacting, and using everything at my disposal, and having final attack paired with phoenix(which I admit, is still sorta cheap, just not as bad as this lol). Ended up defeating emerald with cloud being the only one standing and with my MP completely drained, and with less than 100hp. Omnislash got me the kill. If I hadn't gotten omnislash, it would of NEVER happened lol.I remember literally jumping in the air when I did it

Ah yes, the good old kotr+hp absorb pairing, with kotr being mimed, and used over and over lol. Pretty much a guaranteed solo "I Win" button. Takes a little while, but you can't lose basically. Cheap as all hell, but these kinda tactics are required 90% of the time since emerald is that tough without resorting to em. The first time I beat emerald was by the skin of my teeth, but I didn't have KOTR yet(I decided to get it from the lunar harp, not a gold chocobo) and...

How does your health keep going up? sorry I haven't played through this since 97-98 and don't recall how that in this game, my memory is terrible though. I found Emerald much tougher than Ruby. I just used Hades on Ruby it freezes him. Emerald I fluked out and beat.... my KOTR was only at 3 stars & I had my party all miming it.. I remember I had final attack linked with phoenix too. At one point the order got disrupted though and I never had missed getting bahumut Zero..Neo killed him, fluke

I counted 64 x 7777 individual hits totalling 497728, then 15 or so hits from omnislash, 15 x 7777 = 116655, so total hp damage just from normal attacks and omnislash is 614383 hp to emerald

@k0ck0ut02 what i did was go in with 2 party members alive, use chocobuckle to get 7777, and then when that was over, kill my party member and use knights of round + quadra magic.

Oh, and don't 4get to equip final blow>phoenix Then kill all your other party members when they get revived, cuz it's easier (just like u said) to solo it with knights of round>quadra magic>mime

go to gongaga area, be max lvl with best armor on, get hit by the frogs until you have 7777 hp,
