Yep, Robert Plant indeed: "He had a blue-eyed merl and an Indian girl..." The merl is the dog, Strider, Plant sang about in "Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp," and the "Indian girl" was his first wife, Maureen. Great Fruit Bats song -- the guitar reminds me big time of classic '70s era Allman Brothers. These guys, like the Shins, got it goin' on!
