Motorcycle dunking

On an adventure motorcycle ride in the Canterbury Foothills, not far from Christchurch. I decide to quickly ride across the river to be on the other side to video the Africa twin XRV750 crossing. To cut a long story short, I don't make it across. Then we see another F650 Dakar crossing and the XRV750 falling on its exit.
In order to be able to zip about recording the big bore dual purpose bikes i took my CRF230 out in my van to the end of the sealed road section and rode in from there.

@crf450r23 Yep, drained carb bowel, air box, exhaust pipe and pulled the spark plug and turned her over a few times to pump out the water. Then put it back together and it fired right up. Did another 4 hours that day and changed the oil just to be safe when home. Been sweet ever since.

I have crossed Colorado Rivers like this. I ride angled a little upstream. Like the guys in this video who made it. Your bike is too little, light, to get torque traction. Enjoyed it!!!
