Welcome to another Quickie. This quickie is about why we all must learn to let go of Stuff.

One of the favorite chapters in my book, Sail the Seven Seas of Freedom, is titled Letting Go. Let me be readin' the first paragraph.

"Too many people think having "nice" things will make them happy. Wrong. We all collect "stuff" for no good reason. Physical clutter leads to emotional clutter, mental clutter, and even spiritual clutter. We must let go of material clutter in our lives before we can rewrite our reality and begin living the pirate lifestyle."

Do you have a closet full of clothing?
Do you have boxes and boxes full of stuff?
Do you have to buy things because you can't find them when you need them?

Clutter is a kind of obstacle, like big rocks interfering with the flow of water in a river. When your life is cluttered with "rocks" you expend a lot of energy. Removing these rocks allows you to flow, to move easily.

Are you are feeling overwhelmed?

Remove the clutter and make room for the way you really wish to live.

When you rid yourself of the physical clutter, you remove the mental distractions and the energy drain, freeing yourself to do what you really want to do. Remember, you don't own material things, material things own you.

To sail the seven seas of freedom and be livin' a successful pirate lifestyle ye must declutter yer world 'n free up yer life ta do wha' ye really wants ta do.

With ye help, me goal be ta motivate and stimulate YE friends ta be livin' the pirate lifestyle!

I know! I know! Pick me! Um, is it because breakable stuff falls over, boats are only a little bigger than a Hong Kong apartment, and everything gets mildewed (rather like a HK apartment)? Ha, ha, we don't have closets in HK, we have to buy furniture called a wardrobe. Oh, yeah, we always have to buy stuff because we put it in our storage space and didn't label it properly. It's not loading, I'll come back later. :D
