All right, but me and many people I know simply say and type 'dub' because it's shorter.
Maybe I should clarify: some people use the word 'dub' as a shortened term for dubstep. Sorry for my rudness. :)

You people are genre challenged morons. This is DUBSTEP. Just because it's old style doesn't mean it's "dub". You know what dub is? A subgenre of REGGAE. I.E. bands like Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution. Old style dubstep is DUBSTEP, not DUB.
