Part 2 of my initial series of videos on "classic shaving". This one gets into the actual discipline of the shave and the techniques/tools I use. Don't forget to check out Part 1 also (link below). Thanks so much for watching and feel free to leave me a comment!

  • omg. Busted! I just guffawed, out loud, while sitting in my office! Those outtakes were killer!! lol Anyways, lol, great vid series, Jimbo. Well done, great editing. Two thumbs up!

  • @RoscoeBa Hahahaha glad to give your workday it's much-needed humor injection, Roz. :) Thanks so much for tuning in.

  • Love your videos man. Thanks for the cool ideas. I have been looking for a way to get away from the canned foam, and alcohol based aftershaves of the .99 cent shelf.

  • @joejoepeck Thanks so much! Glad you are enjoying the vids and hope they help.

  • @w0033944 I'm sure they do. I still don't think it's the best idea but that is merely my opinion.

  • @MrJimbofox On the forum I frequent, many do use straight razors on themselves without problems. Having said that, I use DE razors, one of which is a modern Merkur razor from Germany.

  • @roentgen571 As I've addressed below with many of the comments, I too would like to try an old safety razor at some point however I think using a straight razor on one's self is not the best idea as that's not what they were designed for. They were designed to be used by another person (a barber) on you.

  • I use a badger brush and shaving soap, but I use an old-fashioned double-edged blade in a safety razor (one of those ones that has the top come off when you unscrew the handle). The blades are less expensive for me than the disposable cartridges but work as well (maybe better). I'd love to use a really old school straight razor, but when I've tried I've never been able to get the angle down right. It's a lot of trouble to sharpen them correctly and maintain them, too.

  • @THRtactical No thumbs up needed, sir. I always appreciate a comment left on my vids and I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for sticking with me all this time. Glad you are enjoying the videos and I'm nowhere near done.

  • i wish i could thumb this up
