William Weaver's Poem: "Casualty of War Uncounted"

William Weaver is a member of "Poets for Peace." He read two of his poems at an antiwar rally, held in Baltimore, MD, on March 19, 2008. One of them was dedicated to U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Jeffrey Lucey. After returning from the Iraq War and while suffering intensely from PTSD, and allegedly receiving little or no care from the VA, Cpl. Lucey committed suicide in the home of his parents. The poem is entitled: "Casualty of War Uncounted." The event was captioned: "Winter Soldier and Baltimore Speak Out." Dont we all. But the truth of it all is, Man knows nothing of this world without War, And no matter how much we wish it away, Man will always seek Money and power, And it will be the innocent people who decide to make a stand that will die, Its just the cruel type of people we are... Its just Human instinct
