William Weaver is a member of "Poets for Peace." He read two of his poems at an antiwar rally, held in Baltimore, MD, on March 19, 2008. One of them was dedicated to U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Jeffrey Lucey. After returning from the Iraq War and while suffering intensely from PTSD, and allegedly receiving little or no care from the VA, Cpl. Lucey committed suicide in the home of his parents. The poem is entitled: "Casualty of War Uncounted." The event was captioned: "Winter Soldier and Baltimore Speak Out." It was held at the Govans Presbyterian Church. Carla Nealy served as the Emcee. For background on Cpl.
