@carmatt59 well, it depends on your opinion of luxury. Buicks are floaty, quiet, and elegant, where cadillacs deliver a sharper, quicker appeal. thats why buicks are so popular in China. if you were stuck on some crowded road, horns blaring, air pollujtion at dangerous levels, youd probably want a quiet, smooth buick. but if you were tearing down the freeway in the US, you'd most certainly prefer the cadillac.

@carmatt59 After recently purchasing A Buick LaCrosse with the 3.6L V-6, I quite agree with carmatt59. Witness the fact that the forthcoming Cadillac XTS is essentially a clone of the Buick LaCrosse. Even the standard XTS engine will be the same powerplant that is in my LaCrosse. The LaCrosse is my first U.S. car in many years, and thus far, I have a strong hunch that it will prove to be the best vehicle I ever bought. I have purchased new BMW's and a new Lexus, but the Buick surpasses all.

@pieceofmindllc
Buick is the new luxury standard for American cars. I would anytime rather buy a Buick before spending money on an overrated cadillac. of course, i mean no disrespect

Yeah, it looks somewhat good, but where can you use all those ponies under the hood since the speed limit is the way it is here in the US? You craft cars for the autobahn, not for our slow-as-molases roads. As I said prior, try to shift your manufacturing stance to incorporate the "average Joe" instead of catering only to reach people. By the way, how many CADILLAC units did you SELL in 2011 as comparative to BMW, AUDI, MERCEDES and VOLVO?
Do your math and wise-up about "luxury" bs...

My two cents , too...
This new "fashion" of teardrop shape, projected way deep into the fender type of lights is neither efficient, nor attractive. Having to copy some other manufacturers' "avangarde" trend is beyond any reason. No wonder why Acura has that commercial in which they pretend they're the trendsetters and everyone else copies them. Make efficient and CHEAPER cars and try to appeal to the YOUNG and NOT-SO-WELL-TO-DO generation instead of pulling only the reach' sleeves...
