A Subaru Commercial from Australia. Looks like it was another one in the series. Very nice.

  • @hyraxaus Hyraxaus, you are awesome :)

  • I've erred a little - re-listening to my CD, only the on-road music is extended (by a few seconds). the off-road music is the same length as the ad. Ah well - sounds better in CD quality.

  • Found it. The group that composed this music and the one for the off-road ad was "Myne".

The on-road version used in this ad is called "The Real Me" and the off-road version used in the Forester/Outback ad is called "Young Jay and Smerf".

  • This was the ad for on-road Subaru's shown on Australian TV during 2000. All new Subaru's sold at this time had an audio CD with the extended versions of the ad music from this and the off-road Forester/Outback commercial on it. A blank track at the start of each meant that by the time you drove your new car onto the street, the music then started playing. Customers went ga-ga over it. Was really quite cool. I've still got my audio CD somewhere. The music was composed for the ad. It's not mixed.

  • My favorite version of the Impreza is in this video. So simple, clean, rugged. Great stuff.

    What happened?

  • If ANYONE knows where this music came from I'd LOVE to know!! I even emailed Subaru Australia a couple of years ago, & they told me that it was a composite of a few different pieces. I then asked if they could tell me what those "pieces" were, or who composed them, but I never got a response.

  • i remember seeing this on tele, it was amazing to hear and see. their ads have never been as good.

  • beautiful ,haunting music.
