This is great! We do need more sources like this. Found this by chance on NewsBusters. A comment had it embedded. Thanks and I'll be passing this one around!

At first I was looking at this video for some educational content and came away with a Christian right view of how the US should return to it's so call roots (according to some skewed view). If you want to be a Republic, the first thing that shouldn't be pushed upon its people is the belief of a deity. A god is merely a king without a presence. Second the right to freedom of all peoples which the Brisch society condemned when people of color tried to obtain it. I would be more Libertarian.

Excellent video. Very intelligent and objective. More people need to see this...

@AZwatchdog Truth is Timeless. Everyone note the Progressive/communist zstlaw did not reply to AZ's question, because if he did he would have 2 choices, admit he is a Progressive/communist or deny his argument. If you consider this was posted back in 2010 his putting European style government as 'wonderful' looks stupid a year later today in 2011, and AZwatchdog predicted an accurate future.

@zstlaw So then the root cause of our countries problems is a failed public education system. Let's get rid of it while we still can.

@zstlaw Did you even watch the video? Liberals are not even mentioned here. Speaking as a political scientist, this video is completely accurate in describing the true meaning of the left-right scale as it refers to political systems. Also, the identification of oligarchy as the most prominent form of government in world history is right on the button.

Anarchy does not mean "without LAW" it means "without State" Here you have the answer: miniurl dot com/105874

This excerpt from "Overview of America" is one of the best videos produced by The John Birch Society.
The video shows little understanding of modern political analysis. Items classified as right by many schools of political theory were classified as left with no justification. The conservative position is always for stability while the progressive position is for change. To define liberal as both fascists and anarchist is ignorant.
Stop using a one dimension representation for a many dimension topic.
Look up European-political-spectrum for a better representation.

@zstlaw Lets see if I have this straight.
We sign the Declaration of independence, Articles of Association, created the Articles of Confederation, fought a bloody eight year war, created the United States Constitution, possibly the finest framework for a government to be put forth, and brought into existence the Bill of Rights. We did this with the sole purpose to get away from Europe.
Also, Grease is bankrupt, Ireland is almost so and Spain will probably be next.

@AZwatchdog Wrong the founders wished to make a fair system of government that guaranteed rights for all. But an uninformed/uninvolved electorate is giving away rights through ignorance/apathy. Many attacking those rights. (religious freedoms (anti-mosque), search and seizure (TSA, DHS, NSA), press (wiki-leaks), human rights (Guantanamo, rendition) in misplaced patriotism.
Meanwhile corporate rights are powers are growing by leaps and bounds leading us closer to Fascism.

@zstlaw So do you agree with the statement “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need?”

@zstlaw So you want to turn to Europe to explain American politics. I think not.
Also, you claim: “To define liberal as both fascists and anarchist is ignorant.”
Conservative/conservatism and liberal/liberalism are not even mentioned in the video. You might want to watch it again.
