I am old enough to remember the Civil Rights movement. There were opponents from both parties and supporters from both parties. If you don't know that, you've been fed a pack of lies. The opponents in both parties were Conservative.

exactly liberals today do not refelcet the views of classic liberalism. novazee is a fuckng dumbass republican party is a conservative party, we believe in the constitution and it says that all men are created equal therefore slavery is not a legitamate institution. Ture that democrats were also conservatives, but they sought to conserve the republic forwhite poeple only, which is in direct conflict with the constitutional beliefs of conservatives.

People are individuals and not everyone is the same. But you can speak in general terms. Republicans have become so radicalized and misinformed that they are regressing back to the older times. Ideas matter very much and in the end the idea that is proven to be true, that is in line with reality will triumph. I wholeheartedly believe that.

Democrats/ Liberals votes for legalization of pot, gay marriage, pro choice, separation of church and state, against don't ask don't tell, for women serving in combats. These are all votes for individual freedom. Stricter gun control, tax raised on the wealthy and more regulation in the economy would consider votes against individual freedom and economic freedom. I but I think they are absolutely necessary at this point in time. So, I'm a liberal.
