Who says it is offensive?!? I am Jewish and I don't find it offensive in the least. Go ahead and celebrate your beliefs - as long you don't refuse me my right to celebrate mine. Fact is, this simple Christ-loving speech is responsible for the special becoming so beloved - I think it struck so many people as honest and not-commerical - and you needn't fear it being outlawed anytime, by Jews or anyone else. Relax and don't be afraid. Merry Christmas, happy holidays, etc

@Konform2zoidberg ... the one uploaded by balfondo, I mean, but this one too, because it sounded like he was spewing profanity. Kind of one of those unnecessarily censored videos.
Which I guess was the point you were trying to make :)

@cryout2jesus87 "you can't mention Christmas... it might offend someone" you can, but it's more inclusive to use Happy Holidays. New years, Ramadan, etc
Look man, no one is oppressing the 76% of the population that identifies Christian. You've been in charge for the whole of the USA's existence. No one's feeding Christians to lions, firing or bullying them for their beliefs. You just aren't getting specifically endorsed by the state or some businesses.
Also, that alt-ending was hilarious.

memo to uccomic:
You are not the only person with that information. Most Christians are aware that Jesus was not born on this date. I don't know how one "steals" a calendar date or why Christian are any more guilty of 'stealing 12/25 any more than pagans 'stole' it, but I think most people find a Christmas tree all decorated up far less offensive than the sight of women clad in berserkas walking down the street unable to show their identity in a western, democratic, and Christian society.

This is stupid. Everyone talks about freedom of speech, freedom of religion, but they all try to censor Christianity and God. Why? Because they don't want to admit that it's all true.
-
Haha, well, you understand there's a difference between political correctness and plain old tact, right?
-
@catfacecathead: Yes, we do fear it being outlawed, by the political Left.

It's fun to invent problems when your fantasy world doesn't match up with reality.

@cryout2jesus87 Agreed. Believe it or not, even though I'm atheist, it bothers me that people avoid the term "Christmas". Especially retailers who totally exploit the holiday yet refuse to name it. I mean, for better or worse, it's been Christmas for close to 2 millenium.
Sorry Christians, but Dec. 25th was a pagan holiday long before Christians stole it. Jesus' birthday is the original meaning of Dec. 25 in the same way that Europeans are native to North America.
But there's no need to edit out this lovely scene, just like there's no reason to blow up the Parthenon just because Zeus isn't real.

@uccomic: It isn't so much the date, but the idea that you can't mention Christmas because it might offend someone. Some people don't like Halloween, but there isn't a big push to not say "Happy Halloween" on October 31. The complaint is more about so called "politcal correctness" than anything, really. It's your right TO or NOT celebrate Christmas or Halloween.
