@fredvgarcia thats what id like to know, from the look of the end of the joint there is a bit of suck back there but, the edge to me is no indicator of the rest of it cos the end takes the most heat

are you holding the rod at the centers edge? also is your tungsten balled on purpose? thanks and nice work?

@yesac101 Yes! Hold that filler rod at the center and not move it. Walk with the arc on the filler rod. No the tungsten can be pointed, but not like a needle, and the point is then blunted with 1/4D (Diameter of electrode). And taper 2D. This method has more penetration and weld pool has a better fusion. Also the grinding marks on the taperad area must run in a lenthwise direction. This method of grinding ensures the best current carrying characteristics. Thanks and nice work to you, too.
