Made long before the Peanuts comic-strip characters appeared in MetLife ads from sometime in the 50's/60's to today, and even long before "Peanuts" first came out.

I forgot to mentioned that this film starts off with the Steel Valley Film Services logo, I've never seen this logo before until now. Towards the end of the cartoon, the end title was cut off. That's it, no more "The End" on there, just a black screen.

Excellent find! Never saw this cartoon before, but this is extremely rare, but it did have the SMPTE Universal Leader film countdown shown at the start except a pretty girl appeared by a frame at 0:02. Weird! Thanks a lot!

I have this on VHS I got years ago and yes this cartoon is very rare and was produced by Audio Productions for an insurance company. Not many people have a copy of this film nor have seen it. It took me a long time to find it on the web. But I seen an estimate and it read that it first aired around 1937. Me and my mom watch it and laugh all the time, also the ending and opening song is nice to sing too!!!

This is very bizarre and hilarious! It's on the Mill Creek Entertainment 150 cartoon DVD set which I got from Walmart for $5 on 9/07.

This short was made for Metropolitan Life Insurance in 1936, by New York based Audio Productions, directed by John Walworth, who also worked for Fleischer. Thunderbean Animation has a great 35mm technicolor print on it's Cultoons, Volume 2 collection, released earlier this year, available on Amazon. I had heard it was available in Super 8 years back. What is cool about this copy is it has a little extra at the beginning
