Soulful Seventh Chords - Pseudo Sampling FLStudio Beat.

This groove uses diatonic seventh chords from C major/A minor.

C=1

4= Fmaj7
3= Emin7
2= Dmin7

Playing Emin7 with a A in the bass creates and Aminor11.

I have another video about chord stacking that shows a way to visualize extended chords as their component triads.

This the first video where I have animated the drum matrix and paino roll. Screen dumps were pasted into open office presentation software where they were cropped and exported as jpegs. The jpegs where imported to Windows Movie Maker where they were synced to the audio. These videos were combined with the finger footage using Magix Movie Edit Pro.

Long winded but I had to get this idea out of my system.

So do you make beats like this on the reg? It seems like with your knowledge of how to put dope progressions together, and also making the drum beats work with it, that you would be a perfect fit for a hip hop group looking for somebody to make some hella fresh beats. A lot of hip-hoppers are shying away from sampling these days and want live, original music, and I think you defintely have that. Great video
