It's rolling round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when,
I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a rollin' on down to San Antone..

I bet there's rich folks eating in a fancy dining car
They're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars.

And that's what tortures me...
Well if they freed me from this prison,
If that railroad train was mine
I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay

@Pregolilredone99 In my opinion Blues -- Rock -- Metal so yes blues is the root to metal but so is almost any other genre of music after its creation. And I think that's a little ignorant of you to say that all metal is just screaming and wanting to kill themselves. Almost all songs revolve around some kind of conflict otherwise they'd be pointless songs to listen to (ex: Friday) trust screamo is a subgenre of metal and shouldn't represent the entire metal genre

If another person says blues created metal just go jump of a bridge. Because blues talks about life and is filled with soul and passion and talks about love. Metal is pretty much. I HATE MY LIFE! FUCK THIS FUCK THAT! with all screaming. I don't understand how a soft melody like johnny cash is the root to metal!

how is jimi hendrix the king of metal at all? he was a blues player! He would be pretty pissed if he figured out people thought of him as the king of metal.
