Awkward??! The oldest one there was Mike Love, and he was 23. Carl was only 18. And keep in mind, these were still, relatively, early days for tv. Not as much prep going on ahead of time. THE BEATLES were big fans of these guys. Paul McCartney considers the Pet Sounds album to be one of the greatest albums of all time. You don't see this kind of creative talent anymore. These were the days when musicians actually used their brains to create music.
