Stop reading children's books. Its time to grow up. Yes, there is a presence that may be considered to be evil. This presence is only represented by one's distance away from The Essence of Life, Hashem. The closer one brings his or herself to The Essence, the more the evil essence vanishes.

The devil is very real. He is mentioned in both the Old and New Testament. He is mentioned in all Ancient Near Eastern mythologies. He is mentioned most prominently in Norse Mythology. There his name is Loki.
Before Humanity was, there was (and still is) a race of primordial giants. The mighty and evil one of the giants is the devil. His followers descended to earth and corrupted Humanity on his order.
Schnorrerson is in league with the evil giants and the devil himself.
