Dinsdag 13 dec 2011, VPRO de documentaire "Just do it" , een verslag vanuit de wereld van het harde milieu-activisme. De film is gemaakt door Emily James die een jaar lang protesten en bezettingen van fabrieken, energiecentrales en banken vastlegde. Het is een portret van heel dichtbij, met soms schokkende beelden, maar ook interviews met de mensen die arrestatie en geweld beschouwen als risico's van het vak.

Verwacht geen objectief verslag, de film is duidelijk vanuit het perspectief van de activisten geschoten. Volgens de VPRO krijg je na het kijken van de docu zelfs zin om zelf activist te worden: "Ondanks de vele beelden van bruut politiegeweld krijg je door hun bevlogenheid en het sterke collectiviteitsgevoel een tamelijk romantisch beeld van modern actievoeren. Niet op de laatste plaats door de opzwepende ukeleleklanken van indieband Lulu and the Lampshades: ze geven je spontaan zin je aan een monumentale boom te ketenen. 'Gewoon doen!' aldus de jonge idealisten."
