I prefer the second hold myself,
did him yesterday in class and i learned it like 3 weeks ago,
very happy to seam some progress :)

instead of locking and taking more time after switching sides, would it be easier to walk with the choke?
-
Once you have changed sides, you need to continue turning to aply more pressure, in a real bjj match they will just gain half guard and you wont be able to complete the choke
-
awsome. simple and effecient really clear

Thanks mate, I thought it goes this way... But you show it nice...

thanks
-
i cant wait to choke someone out with this....

@justbutterz1994 Chokes are not legal in wrestling. I am a wrestler & jiu-jitsu competitor and this is by far my favorite submission. Its great if you come from a wrestling background. It just feels natural.

@budoatemaildotcom I see, thanks
So I'm new to the juijitsu world but we just went over this last night. Is it better to stay knee on belly then to kick both legs out?

@ResidentBiscuit Good question. I prefer the position I'm using in the video, which I call Ownage Side Control. While the position isn't critically different for this submission, it's just much better for general control especially if he escapes or goes apesh*t while I'm trying to submit him.

@budoatemaildotcom I see some guys (once they go to grab their bicep to squeeze)
instead of putting that non choking hand on the opponents head they put it behind their own head instead.....is one way better than the other or is it just personal preference on grip?

@NCWC916 Just preference. Some people think that hiding their hand behind their own head makes it harder to escape, but that's only true in a RNC, where he has his hands free to try to open your arms up. In this choke, his near arm is stuck and his far arm can't effectively reach.

i dont know anything about bjj but since he started off on the guy's right side cant he just try to secure the triangle on that side? or is that a lot more difficult?

@Reeper123 It's a lot more difficult since your pressure should sandwich between your body pressure, his shoulder, his neck, and your arm. If you do it from the near side, you lose the benefit of his shoulder pressure on his neck.
