Finding the Area of a Circle -- using SQUARES and the background music of AFRICA by Toto (www.toto99.com). This is an approximation of the constant number pi, by cutting the corners off of a square, until it becomes a circle. Note: Toto granted rights to background music (AFRICA) on 1/2/2009.

just another way to look at PI -- a number that goes-on forever, but just happens to describes the area of a circle perfectly. Does that help?

  • this makes no fucking sense... Why go through the trouble of calculating the area of an octagon when you could easily do (pi)(r)^2?

  • I wanted to cut more corners off :(
