Somers Town Festival of Cultures later on the same afternoon. 11th July 2009. John Carroll the Somers Town and John Soanes Museum man carrys his ladder relentlessly onwards, looking for that elusive shot that will launch a thousand exhibitions across the globe. One day my friend!
The Dirty Water Band plays his songs and the bohemian atmosphere drifts into the ether along with the smells of many spices and herbs, to the chatter of maybe over a hundred languages. Table football is as popular as always, the community comes together and all smiles for one day in this part of Camden. In the video you will see The Somers town Coffee House, a very good place to eat and visit for a working lunch. a real pub is The Cock Tavern in Phoenix Road NW1. The Prince Arthur in Eversholt Street which is always busy, (a good sign for a food pub). The P A as we call it does amazing thai food and reasonable prices. Regents park is just ten minutes walk from somers Town, as is the West End and the City. The Great Nepolese resturaunt is superb and is famous with many famous customers, dont miss it! Pasta Plus is in Eversholt St. Its a pity it rained so hard this year, but people still had a good time.
