A beautiful love song for those happily married growing old together. Before the days of television, this was a popular request on the New Zealand 1ZB Radio Request Session at lunch time after church on Sundays.

I was 3yrs old when this was recorded, and i think i have been in love with Nelson Eddy all my life. As a little girl, members of my family would call me come quickly as Nelson Eddy was on the radio. My favorite was what i THOUGHT WAS "'AH SWEET MYSERY OF LIFE" I think he was a great artist with a wonderful range and true musicality.
Times have changed and romance is no longer what it was. My grandchildren are missing so much, It pains me not to be able to convey to them my experience.
I have such lovely memories of my late mother, and this song reiminds me of my beloved Mama. Everyone who knew her couldn't help but love her! Jeanette MacDonald'srendtion of "Songs My Mother Taught Me" is a teary time for me. Thank you for all these wonderful songs and artists from the past singing them!
A lovely and welcome voice from the past. A song that my late mother used to go around the house singing. TY Dobri for posting and Stoltapaura for posting.
