Originally produced for a SRK forum user called crapface who is just in the process for learning to use a stick.

It's kind of boring because it's just me rambling for about 8 minutes on what I think about the whole thing, but it's not like I promised you Shakespeare or anything.

  • To put in an octagonal gate wouldnt be very different from just removing it altogether though? I tried playing without it once, it wasnt that different it just doesnt click in when you're jumping or blocking.

  • @MrZangetsu468 Without a restrictor plate I assume you would risk damaging the switches and other parts of your stick. The plate stops anything from getting touched apart from the micro-switches.

  • A hex key? Do you mean a torx key? lol

  • @kkryan1 Hex/Torx/Allen key...lots of names for the same thing

  • @duffath A Hex key and a Torx key are not the same thing. They are shaped different.

  • @srbclarke Oh okay, thanks for clearing that up. Lots of names for similar things and sometimes the same thing and sometimes not. Confused.

  • I notice myself holding the stick too tight when I play. Also it's hard to practice when the only thing I have to practice on is my ipad with iMame and SF2. Anyone old arcade fighters with like a training mode?

  • i still don't have a good fight stick, i have the crappy mortal kombat one

  • Wow people need this? I didn't get to the arcades much as a kid. I haven't used an arcade stick in years. I picked one up yesterday and it is so much better then a controller for fighting and side scrolling games! I guess some people are different..

  • thnx man this was very usefull...i just got my stick today and its pretty hard...kinda miss my pad tho =(..but oh well it..

  • that is a very nice stick. i love the shape. it looks to be almost the same dimensions as a madcatz SE stick, except its just a little longer

  • @graleh Xbox 360 is really bad with controllers, they try to monopolize it so that only Microsoft approved/made controllers even work with the console. I had a USB pad that wouldn't work on 360, but it works on my PS3 because Sony doesn't give a fuck and will let you do whatever you want.

  • how do you connect it to consoles? I cannot get my tekken6 arcade stick to connect to my xbox360..

  • @d3c0n

I just got a stick, I figure just keep using it. I'm going spend some time in training mode to get down some basic combos like I did on pad then go into matches and go from there. I suppose making sure the stick feels comfortable would be a good way to go.

  • been using a stick for a couple of months now but I just can't get used to it. I can do most move a lot better then on gamepad in trainingmode. But in a match I just can't make it work if it needs to be done quick. :-( I often switch back to gamepad but it just pisses me off. Any tips how to get better with the stick?

  • thanks. i didnt know u could get an octagonal gate
